Frequently Asked Questions:
What is a csa?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Members pay for the weekly produce at the beginning of the season and get a weekly "share" of what is grown. Whatever is ready to be harvested that week is split among the members.
How much food do I get in a weekly Share?
Each share consists of 5-7 items. For example, in the Spring, & Fall, members may get: radishes, beets, or carrots, a bunch of kale, head of lettuce, cabbage, arugula, broccoli. In the summer, members look forward to: cherry tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash, cucumbers, garlic & onions.
Can I get half of a share?
Currently we do not offer half shares. Many members find friends to split a weekly share with. Some alternate weekly pickups, others split the weekly pickups into 2 amongst themselves.
Where do i get my food?
Currently we do pickups at the Starkville Community Market site on Tuesday afternoons and at Bountiful Harvest Farms location on Pat Station Rd. on Thursday afternoons. Members get a weekly reminder email.
